As Paphlagonia Tour, we are at your service with one of the unique natural formations of Anatolia, the cradle of civilizations. We are rightfully proud to meet you by adding a new destination to our tours starting from many points in Turkey. This time, we will greet you again with the same Paphlagonia team from a different destination Antalya and take you to a completely different geography of Anatolia, the Aegean. Have you ever traveled to Pamukkale, the cotton mountain of the Aegean with us? If you are ready to do, we are ready too!
The stunning white calcium pools, which cling to the side of a ridge, have long been one of the most famous picture postcard views of Türkiye. Pamukkale, literally meaning “cotton castle”, is also the site of the ancient city of Hierapolis of which there are many interesting ruins, and is a very popular destination for a short visit.
Pamukkale was formed when a spring with a high content of dissolved calcium bicarbonate cascaded over the edge of the cliff, which cooled and hardened leaving calcium deposits. This formed into natural pools, shelves and ridges, which tourists could plunge and splash in the warm water.
Your guide will meet you at your hotel in Antalya at around 8:00 in the morning and your Pamukkale journey will begin, which will take approximately 2 hours. After the Pamukkale Tranventers, Hirtepolis Ancient City, Ancient Theater and Nekrepol tours, your guide will give you free time for lunch and a swimming break. At the end of this time, we will meet to set off for Antalya and the return journey will begin. All our guests will be dropped off at the points they were picked up from and thus you will return to Antalya around 7 in the evening.
